Going Green...

Green is our favourite colour.  Cornwall is England's green peninsula and we have a responsibility as a Cornish manufacturer to take good care of it.  We take this seriously and seek to minimise environmental impact in every aspect of our business.

For a start, this means recycling all our cardboard, office paper and metal (up to ½ tonne of cardboard every day), and as much plastic as possible.  We've also made sure that all our packaging on our wrapped and chilled range of pasties is totally compostable, including the plastic.

More unusually, we donate all our vegetable waste to a local Pig Company, where it goes down well with our farmyard friends!

And on a larger scale, we've invested in waste efficiency training for our staff.  Working with business consultancy Lemon Frog and specialist environmental organisation The Groundwork Trust, our staff now have NVQs in Environmental Action and are equipped with the skills to correct any areas of inefficiency.
