Proper Cornish and Bristol Rovers celebrate their 25 year partnership
We have been supplying our wonderful pasties to Bristol Rovers Football Club for 25 years, and on Saturday 7th April we marked the occasion by holding A Pasty Day at the Memorial Ground, where Bristol Rovers were playing Charlton Athletic.
Our chairman, Phil Ugalde, presented Steve Hamer (chairman of Bristol Rovers), with a giant pasty. This was then presented to representatives of Bristol charity Feed the Homeless Bristol, who in turn distributed the pasty on Saturday night to the homeless people of Bristol. We understand the pasty was well received on the streets of Bristol.
During the Pasty Day celebrations we also ran a silver ticket competition, where 3 silver tickets were hidden inside 3 pasties. The lucky winners of the silver tickets were then invited pitch side at half time to spin the Wheel of Fortune with a chance of winning a free pasty at all home Sky Bet One Matches for the 2018/19 season. We had one lucky winner, Brian.
It was a great day of celebrations, and one which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We look forward to continuing working in partnership with Bristol Rovers for many years to come. It’s been a great relationship, and long may it continue.
